Here's some new ones, and a quote from this awesome book i'm reading... it's totally fucked up, but ... in a great way!
" when the first day of spring arrived he felt better. he had already spent more than a week in bed and was anxious to get out. Betty took him for a walk in the zoo and he was amused by her evident belief in the curative power of animals. she seemed to think that it must steady him to look at a buffalo.."
well i don't have much to talk about today- -- hard to feel and say in words.
when the weather lets you know it's changin, makes me feel completely overwhelmed and awesome. crazy that the air can be such a crackle, such a physical thing.
here's todays sketch, and a little dolly. -- if you watch the video, be sure to catch the zoom in on the flower arrangement. -- it's totally absurd, but that's all right.
don't have much to say -- just exploring patterns again.
i really like the way concrete discolors -- if you could mix that look with marker bleeding, color blocking, algae residue, and lichen on whatever, and put it in a blender with a super ugly/pretty late 60's couch pattern, you'd get what's on my mind. ..
got a book on the black mountain artists (yay NC), vertical weaving, and the gowns of adrian. -- gonna try to read the articles, not just look at the pretty pictures.
anyway, here's today's designs -- (on the redhead, just imagine mad men red head christina hendricks... i don't usually celebrity day dream when i draw, but i think she'd be right for this one -- even if it is a coat and little trousers.
twang twang twang, is better than this grey wednesday.
