weekend . more flower power and coil upon coil.

here's this weekend's work... continuing the flowering into a full on leisure suit. ... strange but worthwhile, eh? also some 60's textile inspired coiling... i talked out the logistics with my dad-- it can be made, but i won't tell you here, it's a secret. :)

don't have much to say right now. got off work early, and there is way too much snow.

today's sketch is the antithesis of today's surroundings.

well this week is pretty cool because.... -

- i see the daffodil bulbs popping out of our rained away snow... too bad we're supposed to get more white tomorrow... ugh. i want warm pronto.

-some of my pieces are in miami being shot for American Salon magazine-- hope my garments end up being used..

my dad also informed me that the ROTC shoes are ACTUALLY 1965 ish... i did know that-- made an error-- oops, sorry dad.

- and i've done some pretty amazing designs these past two days, if i do say so myself... need to find some "shoe people" to help me bring these tottering monster gems to life!

sorry all of my fellow onlooker/readers for not puttin more up this week. been busy, and hadn't found enough coffee to get me sketching these mornings.-- probly need to wake up around 5:45 instead. -- damn that alarm clock snoozy

well yesterday was equal parts sad and amazing. mr mcqueen died, which is a total shame. -- maybe it's a grand marketing ploy? -- i doubt it tho. he was one of the few current designers that really inspired me.

the good part of the day was going to a "hat show" -- yestadt millinery -- so damn good. the show was so intimate, with gin to fill our belly/brains, and an amazing display of ms. jane's creations. i loved them all. they were sex-less to me; i wanted to not only try them all on, i wanted to own them all.
